Voting Period Now Open

Voters can cast their ballots through internet and telephone voting now until Oct. 26 at 8 p.m. In addition, paper ballots will be available at the Voter Assistance Centres prior to Election Day.

Santa Claus Parade

Float registration is now open for this year's Santa Claus Parade! Interested groups, businesses and organizations can register online today. When registering, please provide as many specific details as possible about your float to help us plan the parade safely and smoothly.

Celebrate the start of the holiday season at the Belleville Nighttime Santa Claus Parade! This annual tradition brings the community together with festive lights, music, floats and family fun through Belleville.

When and Where

When: Sunday, Nov. 22

New Route for 2026!

Please note that the Santa Claus Parade will follow a new route this year.

Route:

  • Starts at Quinte Secondary School
  • Travels south on King George Road
  • Continues along Front Street
  • Turns onto Pinnacle Street
  • Ends at Bridge Street East

Residents are encouraged to find a spot along Front or Pinnacle Street to enjoy the parade.

Temporary road closures will be in effect along the parade route. Closure details and timing will be posted closer to the event date.

What to Expect

The Santa Claus Parade is a festive, family‑friendly event with holiday spirit for all ages.

Leading up to the parade, local venues may host seasonal events and activities, such as:

  • Historic sites with holiday exhibitions
  • Seasonal craft activities
  • Light displays or community gatherings

Enjoy illuminated floats, marching groups and holiday characters making their way through the city. Santa Claus appears near the end of the parade route to greet the crowd.

Visitors are encouraged to bring letters for Santa and support local causes by donating to the Gleaners food bank or the Belleville Fire & Emergency Services Toy Drive.

Getting There

Road Closures and Traffic

Temporary road closures are usually in place along the parade route to ensure safety. Residents and visitors should plan for limited driveway access and follow posted signage.

Parking

Public parking is available in downtown Belleville. Attendees are encouraged to arrive early to find parking and secure a viewing spot along the route.

Accessibility

The City of Belleville works to make all events accessible:

  • Accessible parking along the parade route
  • Space for mobility devices along key viewing areas
