2026 Municipal Election
The next Belleville municipal election will be held on Monday, Oct. 26, 2026.
Nominations for the next municipal election open on Friday, May 1, 2026.
Voters will be able to cast their ballots through Internet or Telephone Voting. In addition, paper ballots will be available at the Voter Assistance Centres prior to Election Day on Oct. 26, 2026.

The City of Belleville, Prince Edward County and the City of Quinte West are currently seeking interested applicants for appointment to the 2026 Bay of Quinte Joint Compliance Audit Committee. The Committee will also serve the following boards:
The Joint Compliance Audit Committee has full delegation of the authority in the Municipal Elections Act, 1996, to address applications requesting an audit of a candidate’s and a registered third-party advertiser’s election campaign finances. This authority includes, but is not limited to, the following:
The Joint Compliance Audit Committee will consist of members that must have the ability to understand and apply the election campaign finance provisions of the Municipal Elections Act, 1996 and should be considered impartial with respect to their ability to fulfill their responsibilities. Preference shall be given to candidates that have applicable experience in accounting, law, law enforcement and academics from related fields. Preferred Qualifications:

Any members appointed must also agree in writing they will not be a candidate or an individual who is a Registered Third Party in the current municipal election or in any by-election during the term of Council for any member municipality. Failure to adhere to this requirement will result in the individual being removed from the Committee. Duration of TermThe term of office for the committee will be from Nov. 15, 2026 to Nov. 14, 2030 to deal with applications from the 2026 election and any by-elections during the 2026-2030 Term of Council. Application DeadlineApplications will be accepted online and in-person by any of the participating municipalities until Friday, March 6 at 11:59 p.m. Following the application period, applicants may be contacted for an interview. Information for Voters
Elections Ontario is responsible for maintaining the Permanent Register of Electors for Ontario, commonly known as the Voters' List. In order to vote in an upcoming Municipal or Provincial Election, you must be on the Voters' List.
Confirm, update or add your information through Election Ontario's RegisterToVoteON.ca. Your name must be on the Voters' List in order to cast a ballot.
Updating Your School Support
The Municipal Property Assessment Corporation (MPAC) is legislatively required to collect school support information. You can update your school support designation through MPAC's Online School Support Designation.
