Salary: $20.81 per hour


Primary Duties

Assist in various assignments for municipal road maintenance; such as but not limited to, truck/equipment driver, filling potholes, picking garbage, painting, weed trimming and grass cutting, rake leaves, shovel sand and debris onto trucks, shovel and rake asphalt and/or concrete, cleaning catch basins and culverts and any other duties that may be deemed essential by the Supervisor.  Required to work independently, and make appropriate customer service decisions.  Candidates must be available to work seven days per week. 

Requirements

  • Grade 12 or equivalent
  • Must hold a valid class DZ Driver’s Licence for the Province of Ontario with a clean driving record
  • Able to operate small power equipment used in maintenance/cleaning work
  • Must be physically fit and able to work in adverse weather conditions
  • Good customer relation skills
  • Must have good communication skills and be able to understand and complete verbal and written work instructions
  • Must have safety footwear
