2017 Berkley B1 Championship Tour

Kicking the Tour off in Belleville will be a spectacle to remember. Not only is it Canada’s 150th birthday next summer, Belleville is also celebrating its 200 years as well and the city has some big plans, including presenting the Berkley B1 for the very first time.
“The City of Belleville is thrilled to be hosting the Berkley B1 and welcoming anglers from all over Canada to the Bay of Quinte region.” states Taso Christopher, Mayor of Belleville.
“We encourage all competitors to bring their families along to enjoy the great activities we have planned for that special weekend”. Renowned for its incredible largemouth bass fishing terrain, the Bay of Quinte event will be limited to fishing within the Bay itself (specifically, from the tip of Cressy Point in the East to the mouth of Presqu’Ile Bay in the West via access through the Murray Canal). Competitive anglers from across the country will have the opportunity to partake in an ultimate showdown at the highest level. “It took 8 long years of development to finally make this monumental move to expand the Berkley B1 brand into Ontario” states Ben Woo, President, Berkley B1. “We are beyond excited to be able to share the B1 experience with new anglers and to have the opportunity to pave the foundation of professional, competitive bass fishing in Canada moving forward.” The Berkley B1 continues to be the only event of its kind to offer prizing and cash payouts of this magnitude. A guaranteed first place prize of a fully equipped Ranger bass boat powered by a Mercury outboard motor along with up to $60,000.00 in additional cash and prizing value. Rob Walton, Director of Sales, Pure Fishing Canada expresses: “Berkley has been behind this event since its inception and will continue supporting what we believe to be the premiere event of its genre. As the lead sponsor, this is an incredible opportunity to support the competitive angling community while communicating the quality and  performance of our products to fishing enthusiasts. The introduction of a 3-event Tour will undoubtedly take competitive fishing in Canada to the next level.
