Join us as we step back in time to reminisce about the rum running and prohibition era right here in Hastings and Prince Edward County – It’ll be THE event for the fall season! We have a rich, colourful local history from this period. You’ll discover who made their millions, who got caught, and who risked their lives along the Moira River and Lake Ontario, as we delve into the dark days of prohibition.
That’s right, a Bootleggers Bash on Saturday November 18th at Signal Brewery. Men, dust off your fedoras and wingtips. Ladies, find a feather for your hair and a fringe for your dress. United Way Hastings & Prince Edward is hosting a speakeasy complete with costume, tarot card readings, hors d’oeuvres, cigar bar, silent auction, photo booth, prizes, and live entertainment with Gatsby, featuring Juno nominated Howard Baer to match the rum running days of yesteryear on the beautiful Moira River. Come and enjoy this Costume Party, Fundraising Event.
