Glanmore National Historic Site’s Celebrate Our City pop-up exhibit
Glanmore National Historic Site’s Celebrate Our City pop-up exhibit was developed as part of the museum’s Belleville 200 and Canada 150 celebrations. The pop-up exhibit received rave reviews at Canada Day Celebrations and again at the Waterfront Festival. People have really enjoyed seeing our staff in 1867 period costumes, viewing the historic photographs in the exhibit, and learning some of the many fascinating stories from Belleville’s past. The Exhibit highlights significant people from our community’s history as well as the themes of Belleville 200, Hastings County, Business and Industry, Railroads, the Moira River, the Bay Bridge, Sports, and Entertainment and utilizes excellent historic photographs from the Community Archives of Belleville and Hastings County. We are really proud of the exhibit and hope you will have a chance to see it if you have not yet.
