Plaque Unveiling - Hastings County Historical Society

History is always with us but sometimes we have to be reminded of our rich legacy. The Hastings County Historical Society is pleased to announce a new program to bring history alive. This summer the Society will be unveiling new plaques in downtown Belleville to bring the historical record of this city to the forefront for visitors and residents alike. The Memorial Plaque Program marks the Society’s contribution to commemorating Canada’s 150th and Belleville’s 200th anniversaries. This is the beginning of a new long-term project to post similar plaques throughout Hastings County in future years. For more information, contact President Richard Hughes 613-966-7772 or Secretary Mary-Lynne Morgan 613-961-7091.
