City Issues Final Call for Waterfront Pop-Up Project Proposals
Posted: March 15, 2019
The City of Belleville is activating its multi-million-dollar waterfront assets on the Bay of Quinte with a new project that creates pop-up space along the waterfront. The first phase of this project will kick-off Victoria Day weekend for the summer season where four 10’ x 10’ structures will provide space for seasonal businesses to operate.
“We have received three strong proposals to date and are re-issuing the RFP in an attempt to fill the fourth space that will be available this summer on Belleville’s waterfront,” says Manager of Economic & Strategic Initiatives Karen Poste. “This project presents a great opportunity for entrepreneurs to set up shop on the waterfront.”
The RFP for this project has been re-issued and will remain open until 1 pm on Wednesday, March 20th for entrepreneurs who want to open a business that utilizes Belleville’s beautiful waterfront. Summer 2019 Pop-Up locations include Victoria and Freestone Point Parks, south of downtown Belleville.
