Belleville – The City of Belleville Dr. Recruitment program was created to encourage family physicians to provide medical services in the City of Belleville. The program provides financial assistance to medical students to help with their education in return for a commitment to provide service to residents in the City of Belleville. During the past few years, the City has attracted 35 new doctors under the Dr. Recruitment program, primarily family physicians.
The City is pleased to announce that Dr. David Ademidun is the most recent physician to sign a return of service agreement the City and he will begin practicing medicine in Belleville in September 2019.
“Council is deeply committed to continuing to improve the quality of life in our City and health care is a vital part of this equation,” said Mayor Mitch Panciuk. “The City is pleased to financially assist Dr. Ademidun with his extensive education costs.”
“I am very pleased to have the opportunity to return to Belleville,” added Dr. David Ademidun. “I already have a strong connection to this community and I look forward to practicing medicine here.”
Karen Poste, Manager of Economic Development and Strategic Initiatives, is very pleased that Dr. Ademidun has agreed to practice in Belleville. “The Dr. Recruitment program has been very successful. We know physicians are, and will continue to be retiring and the Doctors recruited through this program are helping us to address this need within our community.”
