Residents Invited to Stanley Park Playground Design Open House

The City of Belleville will be hosting a public open house on Dec. 12 to gather residents’ feedback on proposals for the Stanley Park development.
The open house will run from 4 to 8 p.m. at Parkdale Community Centre (119 Birch St.) with the project team on-hand for questions. Three separate proposals will be on display for residents to provide their input on.
The open house will be part two of a two-part public input process. Earlier this year, input was collected in the form of an online survey in which participants were asked what features they would like to see in the park. All information collected during the process will be used to help make the final decision which will then be presented to Council.
“We were very pleased with the response we received in our online survey,” said Joe Reid, General Manager of Transportation and Operations. “We look forward to taking all of the comments and feedback we receive between the survey and open house to Council so that we can make the most informed decision for this significant community project.”
