Zwick’s West Trails Closed during Wheels on the Bay Three-Day Festival
Posted: July 23, 2019
Once again, the City of Belleville is pleased to welcome Wheels on the Bay to West Zwick’s Park for the three-day Wheels Festival, July 26th – 28th. During the event, West Zwick’s trails will be closed and the park will be accessible by paid entry only at the Bay Bridge Road entrance.
To align with these temporary arrangements, the typical entry to the park’s playground will be closed. However, those wishing to access the playground may enter from the east side, next to the east/west loop road (which passes under the Bay Bridge at the water’s edge). Parking for those visiting the playground will be available in the grassed area north east of the playground. Parking will not be permitted on the loop road.
“This will be a very busy weekend at West Zwick’s Park with many visitors coming to our City for Wheels on the Bay,” said Rowland Cave-Browne-Cave, Parks and Open Space Supervisor. “We appreciate everyone’s cooperation with the entry and parking guidelines to ensure residents wishing to access the playground and those attending the event can all have an enjoyable weekend.”
Signage for the weekend’s parking and trail access changes will be in place throughout the weekend.
