Geographic Information Systems (G.I.S)
We have developed a computerized mapping system known as G.I.S. It provides people with not only a map, but also access to information associated with anything on the map. Different features of our City can be seen through a number of Map Viewers, including parks, zoning, and road closures.
G.I.S allows information to be attached to the items or layers shown on the map. A person using one of the viewers can get that information by clicking on the map . An example would be a road closure map with highlighted segments of Roads where they may be closed. Clicking on the highlighted section will show a pop-up that gives you more information.
Online Maps show information specific to the map's title. A Parks map will highlight Parks in the city, while a Zoning map focuses on Zoning. The Pop-up shows that by clicking on the particular Park or Zone.

- Zoning and Official Plans
- City owned Property
- City Infrastructure for Water, Drainage and Sanitary systems
