Notice of Drainage Repair at Bird Park Playground

The City of Belleville would like to inform residents of a drainage issue that has been identified within the playground area at Bird Park. This issue affects the drainage system that runs directly over the Trans Northern Pipeline.

To address the problem, City staff are working closely with the Pipeline team, as the repairs involve a complex process that requires careful planning and coordination. This process is now underway and staff are currently awaiting the necessary permits to proceed with the work.

Once the permits are secured, a new drain line will be installed to address the drainage problem. In addition to this work, new Engineered Wood Fibre will be added to further improve the safety and functionality of the playground.

We apologize for any inconvenience caused by the temporary closure of the playground during this time. Our team is committed to completing the work as quickly and efficiently as possible, and we appreciate your patience as we work to resolve this issue.
