“As we entered this year’s budget process, our focus remained on addressing the key priorities that matter most to our community while at the same time, being mindful of the financial impact on residents,” said Mayor Neil Ellis. “As a municipality, we control only 56 per cent of our annual budget and are being tasked with an increasing number of responsibilities within that budget. Despite this, we have worked hard to ensure a fair and balanced approach for 2025 which reflects the needs of our city. I would like to thank everyone who took part in the engagement process and helped shape this year’s budget, and staff for all of their hard work.”
