Helpful information for using Belleville Transit
- Transfers are valid for 90 minutes.
- Your bus pass or monthly mobile pay pass provides unlimited travel for 30 days.
- Each bus route is numbered and buses also display a route name which tells the final destination, on board announcements are made for each stop.
- Bus stops are located at most street intersections along each of our bus routes.
- The transit service does not operate on statutory holidays
Please make sure you do:
- Remember all your belongings; Belleville Transit is not responsible for any lost or stolen items.
- Have the exact fare, your pass or mobile pay QR Code ready.
- Have your ID Card ready for reduced fare or concession fare.
- Have the Mobile Pay QR Code open on your device for your pass.
- Respect the priority seats at the front of the bus for the elderly or people with disabilities.
- Take care and control of your personal property at all times. We are not responsible for personal items damaged during service.
- If you use a walker, regardless of whether you need the ramp please use the wheelchair stop request button to alert the driver.
Please make sure you don't:
- Bring your pet. Guide dogs and registered working dogs are permitted, and small dogs and cats in carriers are permitted. They must remain in the carrier for the duration of the trip.
- Swear or use profane or discriminatory language
- Drink or carry intoxicating beverages
- Smoke or vape on the bus, in the transit terminal, or in shelters, per City Bylaw.
Transporting goods |
You may transport goods on the bus but all parcels and personal items must be kept clear of the aisles at all times. The bus operator may use his or her discretion in allowing bulk items onboard. You may not transport firearms, offensive or prohibited weapons, chemicals, toxic substances and flammables are not permitted on Belleville Transit vehicles. |
Lost and found |
If you believe to have lost an item on one of our buses or at one of the bus stops please contact Belleville Transit Customer Service at 613-962-1925 to report the lost item. Belleville Transit is not responsible for lost or stolen items. |
Customer feedback |
You may contact us to report a complaint, compliment, or service issue through our Report an Issue online portal. If you are reporting a complaint please provide as much information as possible about the issue. Date and time of the problem, pick-up and drop-off location and the vehicle number are all helpful information. |
